M4 mobile speed camera's

If you have been travelling on the M4 over the last few days, you may have noticed an outbreak of 'speed camera' warning signs.

A speed enforcement campaign for the M4 motorway in Wiltshire was launched this week by Wiltshire & Swindon Safety Camera Partnership. The partnership started enforcement at seven sites along the 53kms of the M4 motorway in Wiltshire.

Stationed on motorway bridges the enforcement vehicles will target those motorists who significantly exceed the national speed limit.

From and including Saturday 16 April 2005:

A36, A419, A4, A303, A420, A30, A346, A354, Trowbridge, Swindon, Salisbury and Chippenham

M4 speed enforcement sites in Wiltshire (Please note that the list below describes the location of the sites and not the direction of enforcement. Enforcement may take place in either direction.):

Approximately 8.3km east of junction 17
Approximately 3.1km east of junction 17
Approximately 8.4km west of junction 16
Approximately 3km east of junction 16
At Junction 15
Approximately 6.9km east of junction 15
Approximately 1.8km west of junction 15
