The Great Vintage Flying Weekend 2005
- Europes' largest and most prestigious event for
vintage and classic civil aircraft.......approx 300 aircraft expected each
day.
- Airfield open to aircraft 1300 - 1900 Fri; 0900 -
1900 Sat/Sun
- NO display flying....aircraft arrive
0900-1230 & depart approx 1500-1630
- Pleasure flights in vintage DH Dove
six seat light airliner and DH Tiger Moth
- Trade stands & sponsors marquees etc
- Full catering/bar in main marquee
- Limited facilities for disabled - but every
assistance will be given on the day
- Air Park open to public for walkaround viewing
approx 1230-1430 Sat/Sun
- Excellent viewing and photography opportunities.
- Several larger aircraft / collections open for
viewing at most times
- Aircraft range from 1930's single seaters to ex WW2
and post-war transports.
- Overnight camping Fri/Sat (£10 per pitch per night)
- Childrens' amusements, but NO funfair.
- Vintage Vehicles
- Toilet facilities.
- Professional commentators
- Staged in full accordance with CAA regulations and
fully meeting all Health & Safety and human rights act conditions.
- ALL pilots strictly PPR ONLY - fully briefed
on not-to-overfly zones and noise limitations.
