Recorder Consort
Hullavington
Recorder Consort, who played at Bath Abbey on Saturday, attracted a
small but appreciative audience in Hullavington Church last Tuesday.
Their next Concert will be in Malmesbury Abbey on Saturday 25 July
from 1 to 2:15pm.
Hullavington WI
Alix Booth delighted Hullavington WI
and their guests with an informative and hilarious illustrated talk
on the History of Punch and Judy. She revealed that Punch is 347
years old, and evolved from our own mystery plays and an Italian
actor. The puppets were brought right up to date with Gordon Brown
and a Social Worker illuminating how the politics of the day was an
important component of the original shows. The competition winners
were Alison Ayliffe and Mary Williams. The next meeting, on 15
July, is “Roots and Shoots: Digging into Family History”.
Gliding Experience
There are still a few places left to
join Hullavington Ramblers for a flight in a two-seater glider, with
a qualified instructor, at Cotswold Gliding Club, on the evening of
Thursday 2nd July. Friends and family are also welcome to
watch your flight and just enjoy the barbecue. The cost of the
evening is £35 including the flight, or £5 for barbecue only. For
more information, contact Frank Birlison (01666) 837358, or

Hullavington School Fete
Hullavington School Fete will take
