Poetry Group
The Winner of the Annual Limerick Competition is Barbara Baggs, who read her limerick about drink to the group. The Poetry Group also enjoyed the work of Wendy Cope and the original work of five poets who were young once. The next meeting, July 1, will celebrate the work of U A Fanthorpe, with the creative theme of “When you’re smiling”.

Art Group
Hullavington Art Group marked Election Day with tea in the garden of local artist Elizabeth Parry-Williams. The art group continues under her guidance on Thursday afternoons in the Village Hall.

Recorder Consort
Hullavington Recorder Consort’s world debut takes place at Bath Abbey on Saturday, when the Senior Group will be playing from 1:05 to 1:55, to fit in with the clock bells. If you would like to catch the players nearer home, then make your way to the Star Inn at 7:30pm on Tuesday 16 June, where the players are hosting a free concert.

Hullavington Ramblers
The Ramblers’ social night is in the Village Hall on Friday from 8:30pm. Bring your own refreshments.
