Breakfast at
Tiffuna’s
The village breakfast was an enjoyable chance for a chat, and raised
a tidy £70 towards the Harfest Arts Festival in September.
Hullavington Ramblers
Hullavington Ramblers celebrated the bank holiday with an eighteen
mile bike ride, and a walk of four miles, organised so that the
participants could meet for lunch.
Church Fete
The Church Fete will be held in the gardens of Court House, behind
the Church, on Saturday June 6 between 2 and 4pm. This year’s
innovation will be an elegant, continental idea for re-using nearly
new items, the Braderie. Each visitor to the fete is invited to
bring priced, as-new items, labelled with contact details, for sale
on the Braderie stall, with one quarter to the fete and three
quarters to the vendor. Tony Ward (01666) 837437 can explain this
more fully. Among the usual attractions are the free games, which
are included in the entrance fee.
Film Club
Last Wednesday’s Film, The Boy with the Striped Pyjamas,
stimulated a good deal of discussion from a packed audience in the
Village Hall. The next meeting of the film club, on 24 June, offers
a comedy with Burt Reynolds, Imelda Staunton, and Derek Jacobi.
