Village Voices Choir
Over a thousand singers graced the gardens at
Stourhead last weekend, including members of Hullavington’s Village
Voices, who joined with two other local choirs run by Chris Samuel
as the Wiltshire Wailers. Their voices can be heard on the website
www.chris-samuel.co.uk. The choir
are now practising songs with a watery connection, ready for the
Bristol Sing for Water on Saturday
27 June. Rehearsals are in the Village Hall at 2pm on Fridays.
Best Kept Village
Wow! Success! Fifteen
volunteers weeded and cleared rubbish for the Big Tidy Up last week
and gathered thirty bags of rubbish. Their efforts have been much
appreciated, and many who were unable to join in on the day have
been hard at work too. The village is now looking good, but there
are a few corners that could do still do with a bit of attention, so
please don’t rest on your laurels. Let’s see if we can keep
Hullavington looking just as smart for the whole summer.
Gliding Experience
An evening of gliding,
followed by a barbecue, has been organised by Hullavington Ramblers
at Cotswold Gliding Club, at Aston Down near Stroud, on the evening

two-seater glider, with a qualified instructor.
Friends and family are also
welcome to watch your flight and just enjoy the barbecue. The cost
of the evening is £35 including the flight, or £5 for barbecue only.
If you are interested in having a go at gliding, or would like more
information, contact Frank Birlison (01666) 837358, or
birlison@btinternet.com. Gliding places are restricted so
reserve your place early.
