WEA
Malmesbury and District
Branch of the WEA are holding their AGM on Wednesday 8 April at
7:45pm in Hullavington Village Hall. As an added bonus, a taster
talk will be given by one of their new history lecturers, the local
vicar, Andrew Evans, who will be explaining how defeat in Norway
1940 finished Chamberlain and ushered in Winston Churchill.
Film Club
Hullavington’s film club is
becoming ever more popular, with a very well-attended showing of The
Duchess last week. If you like the idea of exploring a list of
experiences to enjoy before you die, contact Sarah Harmer (01666)
837704 for details of Friday’s film in the Village Hall at 7pm.
Golden Threads
Members of the Golden
Threads group had an enjoyable afternoon last week, sharing readings
about a Wonderful World, from the theme of Fiona Castle’s book. The
group meets on the fourth Friday of each month in the Village Hall.

I’ve Started So I’ll
Finish
The Stitch in Time sewing
group is proving a really good opportunity for would-be seamstresses
to finish off unfinished projects, under the expert guidance of
Eileen Fry who can offer help if it is needed. The group, which
meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month, has set the record for its
youngest member when three generations of one family came along to
sew and enjoy the company.
