Hullavington’s Got Talent
Saturday’s the day of
Rhys Tucker’s talent contest in aid of Comic Relief, held in the
Village Hall. The contest, which starts at 6:30, is open to people
of all ages and will be divided into two groups, adults and
children. The costs for the evening will be £1 for contestants, £5
for adults in the audience and £2 for children. Tickets can be
obtained by ringing Rhys (01666) 837492 after 4:30pm on schooldays.
WI Annual Meeting
Hullavington WI now boasts
26 members, who turned out in force for the Annual Meeting. A bird
bath and matching flower pot were presented to Rosemary Mace, to
thank her for twenty years of service as treasurer. Pat Harper is
now in charge of the funds. The business meeting was followed by the
traditional raucous beetle game which was won by Miriam Smith, with
Sarah Harmer attaining the booby prize. The spring flowers
competition was won by Rosemary Mace and Dorothy Windeatt. The next
meeting, on 15 April, will include a talk by Verna Gifford,
accompanied by her guide dog, when she will talk about Guide Dogs
for the Blind.
Keep Fit
Andy McGlashan has condensed his popular fitness
classes in Hullavington Village Hall. He now holds classes on
Tuesday evening only, with low impact fitness from 6:30 to 7:30pm.
