WI Meeting
Mrs Pauline Beach regaled
the WI meeting with anecdotes of the 170 foreign students she has
hosted in a second career spanning 20 years. The competition was won
by Dorothy Windeatt and Maggie Dyson. The Annual Meeting will take
place on March 18.
Gigs, Giggles and Gossip
Don’t forget the celebrity
evening in the Village Hall on Saturday with Rosemary Squires and

Hullavington Ramblers
Fourteen ramblers surprised
a bus driver when they caught the bus to Calne, prior to a
6 mile walk, mostly through open
countryside along the old railway line back to Chippenham. Watch
this space for details of their next walk in March.
Rock Music Weekend
Hullavington is holding a
weekend of Rock Music to help blow away the winter blues, starting
Friday 6 March, when singer and guitarist Andy Margrett, will be
performing at The Star Inn. His songs cover four decades from
Johnnie be Good through to Muse. Entrance to the event is free
Mad March Hare Gig
Saturday 7 March features
the Mad March Hare Gig at the Village Hall at 8pm with two local
bands and a disco. Folk/Rock singer Ami Kaelyn is supported by
Undone, for a set including songs from Elbow, Joan as Policewoman,
Regina Spektor and Ladyhawke as well as some originals. The second
band, ‘Random Harfest’ was created for the Harfest Music Festival in
the summer, with local musicians playing blues and rock to get you
on the floor dancing like granddad! John’s Disco will provide
entertainment at the start and during band changeover. Proceeds
from the event are for the Village Hall fund. Tickets, at £4 each
