A Stitch in Time
The first gathering of the sewing group was a very successful afternoon, with eight people learning new skills or working on their projects in a friendly and informal atmosphere. Eileen Fry demonstrated how to shorten the sleeves of a lined jacket completely invisibly. One participant made a piped cushion cover from start to finish, and learnt how to join the piping invisibly too. The next meeting will be on 24 February. Do come along for the afternoon, or just drop in at 2pm to do a bit of mending before collecting the children from school.
Film Club
Some forty people thronged the Village Hall for the first film-club gathering of the year. A Friday evening musical is planned for February 6 and the next regular Wednesday meeting will be a thriller on February 25. Sarah Harmer, (01666) 837704 has all the details.
Parish Council
The Parish Council will be starting discussions for the proposed new Community Plan at their next meeting on 11 February.
