Short Mat Bowls Club
The singles competition was won convincingly by Geoffrey Maddock with Carol Bye, Rosemary Mace and Jonathan Mace tying in second place. The club, which meets on Monday evenings or Thursday afternoons in the Village Hall, continues to be well represented in the Malmesbury League. Contact Geoffrey on (01666) 837275 to join in.

Patient Participation Group
Lis Cheshire has represented the village at the Malmesbury patient participation group. The new surgery now has a new website www.malmesburypcc.nhs.uk, which is currently being developed. People who contact the old Gable House site will be redirected.

Poetry Group
The poetry group shared the work of Sir Walter Scott last Wednesday, and nine members tried their hand at poems with a Scottish link. The next meeting will be on Wednesday 3 December when the poet will be Wordsworth, and the theme, trees.
