Ramblers Walk

Join Hullavington Ramblers on Sunday 19 October for a circular walk from Sherston through Westonbirt Arboretum, using public footpaths. This is later than advertised, but the woodland colour scheme should be all the better for a week’s delay. Contact Paul Hadley (01666) 837096 for details and car-sharing.

Tales of Time and Tide

Don’t miss Tales of Time and Tide at the Village Hall on Saturday. (01666) 837358,

Film Club

On Wednesday, 22 October, the Film Club will be showing an epic tale of friendship and betrayal, spanning the final days of Afghanistan's Monarchy. The Hall will open at 7.00 p.m. for a prompt 7.30 start. New members and their guests are always welcome for a sociable village evening. More details from Dennis Shaw on (01666) 837528.

Poetry Group

Numbers are still increasing at Hullavington’s Poetry Group. Seventeen people shared the beautiful, romantic language of Keats, at the October meeting, and local poets read their work about Autumn. Nick Fry made the delectable cakes. The next meeting will be on November 5 when the poet will be Walter Scott, the challenge will be poems about Scotland, and doubtless Nick will be making shortbread.
