Dog Care.
Fouling of pavements by dogs is still being brought to the attention of
the Parish Council. Dog owners are reminded that ordinary litter bins
can be used for dog-mess provided that it is properly wrapped. By law,
all dogs must be on the lead in any built up area, or on a public
footpath.
Hullavington Ramblers
Join Hullavington Ramblers at the Star Inn on Bank Holiday Monday at
11am for a circular walk of about 5 miles. The plan is to enjoy our
local footpaths then return to the hostelry for refreshment. The
ramblers barbecue was well attended, with live music, food, a convivial
atmosphere and very little rain.
Undressing Mr Darcy
Hullavington WI members joined with others from the area for this
tantalising talk about men's costume during the time of Jane Austen. The
entertaining evening was enhanced by readings from contemporary
literature which put the fashions into context.
Champions Holiday Activity
There are still vacancies for the Champions holiday activity sessions in
Hullavington Village Hall from Tuesday to Saturday 26-30 August. Fun
activities including sports, crafts, drama and songs are available for
children between 4.5 and 11 years. For more details, contact Alison Reed
on (01666) 837661.
Yoga
Don't forget the combined yoga group at Grittleton Village Hall at 10am
on Wednesday 27 August.
