WI
Miriam
Trotman, Hullavington’s
Wiltshire
WI
advisor, was a guest at the May meeting of the WI. It was a very busy
meeting, discussing resolutions to be put before parliament. Evelyn
Lewis led the discussion on the imprisonment of the severely mentally
ill, and Rosemary Mace explored the issues surrounding bottom fishing
and conservation. The WI has also become much in demand for catering at
village events.
The competition was won by Isobel
Acott and Kay
Goodenough. The next meeting, on June 18 will be Mrs Humphries on
“The woman who walked across the Arctic”.
