Yvonne has taken over the Hullavington Community News Column in the Gazette & Herald 

 
Hullavington Ramblers walk on Sunday 24th Feb will be led by Mark Collard. Exploring the prehistoric downland landscape around Avebury. A circular walk of around 5 miles with fine views and archaeological remains round every corner. Meet at 10.30 in the National Trust car-park off the A4361, which is the road which comes past Avebury Trusloe from the A4. Parking is free for members of the National Trust and English Heritage (remember to bring your car sticker or membership number), or £2 pay and display for non-members.

Hullavington Jolly Tots (Mums & Toddlers) group is proving very popular and numbers have grown considerably over the past year. Itıs currently half term for the Tots but they restart on the 26th Feb with a new programme of

Film Club Donıt forget the next film is on Wednesday 27th Feb. All are
welcome to join, just come along to the village hall on the night. Doors
open at 7pm for a 7:30pm prompt start. The film is Sea Biscuit, a popular
recent release that has received good reviews.

Rainbows Following the successful relocation of the 1st Hullavington
Brownies to Hullavington village hall, the Stanton Rainbows have now done
the same and will meet there on Thursdays from 5 pm until 6pm, beginning on Thursday 28th Feb. For more information please contact Sandra on 01249 656224 or stantonrainbows@hullavington.info

The Parish Council regret to announce that they have recently lost their
Clerk / Responsible Finance Officer due to ill health. If you are have any
experience in these roles and would be interested some part-time work, then
please contact the Chairman of the PC, William Harmer on 01666 837704.

The Hullavington Dog Show Robin Chiangıs dog training classes in the village hall have been going very well and he has agreed to organise a Dog Show as part of the Hullavington Village Show on the morning of the 6th September at The Star Inn. So here is a good opportunity to show your dogs and have a good morning before visiting the village hall for the rest of the village show. Talk Dog Walk Dog and The Star Inn are the sponsors. There will be 3 obedience classes and 8 novelty classes. Look out for further details and entry forms over the coming months. The Star Anthony and Pauline celebrated their first year as landlord and
lady of the Star Inn with a cheese and wine evening. It was a great success
and many thanks go to them both for an enjoyable evening and we look forward to them being here for many more years to come. And, whatıs more, they took the opportunity to test opinion on a new range of wines that they plan on selling in the future. The Star has a special menu for Motherıs Day Sunday 2nd March.

Rosemary Conley Class Have you noticed how slim the village is looking?
Well, Roz has reported that since the excesses of Xmas and New Year, The
Rosemary Conley diet and exercise class has become even more popular with people seeking a healthier lifestyle. And since January 2008 members in
Hullavington and her other classes in Chippenham, Lyneham and Devizes have lost 52 stone!!! The class meets on Tuesday evenings in Hullavington Village hall from 7.00pm to 8.30pm  If you want to come along for the exercise part only then you are welcome to do so. HarFest 2008 Planning for this yearıs HarFEST is underway. It will run from
Friday 12 September to Sunday 21 September. If you enjoy music and the arts and are interested in supporting them at a local level, please keep these
dates free in your diary. The programme should offer something for everyone. As part of the fundraising for the festival, there will be a variety of
events over the next few months. Please look out for notices advertising a
breakfast, cream teas, cake stall and a grand quiz for Saturday 26th April.
