Village Activities
There are now 18 activity groups meeting in the village hall and, from 25th
Feb, that number goes up to 19 when Henrietta starts her ³Music Monsters².
This is a class that introduces the under 5s to the fun and pleasures of
music. The class is on Monday mornings from 9:30am. If you¹re interested
please contact Henrietta on 01666 838634 or email her on
musicmonters@hullavington.info

Dancing is both fun and a great way to burn off the calories that get put on
around this time of year, so why not come along to the Hullavington Line
Dancers on a Monday evening at 8pm. All are welcome, just turn up on the
night. Or, if you¹ve been gripped by Strictly Come Dancing and you like the
Ballroom and Latin stuff, then why not join the Hullavington Ballroom
Dancers. They meet on a Thursday evening from 7pm. If you are interested,
contact Liz on 01666 837713 or email her on ballroom@hullavington.info

Film Club
There was a large turnout for the new season of films being shown at the
Hullavington Film Club in the village hall. The film last Wednesday was
Amazing Grace a film about William Wilberforce and the abolition of slavery
in Britain. The film club meets on the 4th Wednesday of the month and shows
new releases and the odd oldie. All are welcome. If you would like to join
just turn up on the night or, if you want more information, contact one of
the committee members, contact details of which can be found on the village
website at www.hullavington.info

Hullavington Ramblers
The walk on Sunday 20th Jan was organised by Alan Roberts who, despite the
biblical weather, guaranteed it would be dry underfoot and mud free. He was
wrong. But the walk drew a larger than normal group. I suspect this was just
to see the floods and to tease Alan. The walk was from Pewsham to Lacock and
return along the cycle way following the course of the old canal. Needless
to say it was a little damp, but it was a good walk, so well done Alan. The
flooding on route was an incredible sight. If you¹d like to see some photos
of it then visit the Hullavington Ramblers web page on the Village Website
at www.hullavington.info

Neighbourhood Watch
There has recently been a (second time) house burglary in Sherston. It has
been known that some burglars do a quick "one minute" opportunist entry,
maybe take something small, readily available (purse, handbag, keys etc.)
but in actual fact have checked your house contents for a more deliberate
"return visit" if there are larger items of interest. So please re-assess
your security arrangements and always be alert, aware and secure.
