Following the highly successful day school on archaeology held last
October and the 8 week Literary course held in autumn 2007, more courses
are planned for Hullavington Village Hall. The first is a day school on
Saturday 12th April titled "An Introduction to Looking at Paintings" The
course tutor is Dr Jennifer Shepperd. Bookings for this day school are
now being taken. Please contact David or Muriel Bridge on 01666502729 or
email wea@hullavington.info.
In addition an 8 week course is
planned for Thursday mornings in the autumn of 2008. This will most
likely be a music/art course titled "Turner and The Music of His Time".
A further day school is planned for autumn 2008 titled "Introduction to
Chinese Art" which includes ceramics, calligraphy etc. You can view
details of these courses by visiting the
WEA page on the

Village Trip to The Great
Dorset Steam Fair. A day out by coach to the Dorset Steam fair
is being planned for 2008, if sufficient interest exists. It will be on
Saturday 30th August. The cost will depend on the numbers but the price
is likely to be around £24 per adult, £18 per child or a special family
ticket covering 2 adults and 2 children for £78. This includes the coach
travel from Hullavington village and entry to the event itself. At this
stage the organizers are just seeking “expressions of interest” from
people, and you should be reassured that this does not commit you to
actually going on the trip. They are merely ascertaining whether the
trip is viable or not. If you do wish to express an interest then please
contact Bob Fenner at any time between now and 1st May 2008. You can
contact Bob on 01666837320 or preferably by email on
steamfair@hullavington.info.
The steam Fair is a great day out
with lots going on for all interests and ages. For more visit the Fair's
website at www.gdsf.co.uk
