September at 8pm.

Women’s Institute.
A burgeoning Hullavington Women’s Institute was treated to a quick
course in gift-wrapping, when Alison Reed provided instruction in making
gift bags and boxes. The afternoon was beautifully organized and all 26
women left clutching their individual creations. The group was
complimented on the refreshments provided for the Village Show, and
volunteers were invited to make soup for the Hullavington Christmas
Market on 3 November. A Scrabble squad was formed for the coming season,
and a theatre trip for ten members to see the Vagina Monologues was
organized for October 1. The competition, for a decorative tin, was won
by Lis Cheshire, with Sue Fenner as the runner-up. The next meeting will
be on October 17 with the speaker, Detective Inspector Davey, talking
about Card Fraud. Exceptionally, this talk, at 2pm in the Village Hall,
is open to the entire village, men included.
