Annual Show
The green fingers and creative talents of Hullavington residents were
much in evidence on Saturday at the Village Hall. Daphne Howlett, who
had entries in 33 classes at Hullavington’s Village Show, was the winner
of the Bakhurst cup and the HEA Challenge Cup, having the best exhibit
and scoring the most points overall. She was closely followed by
runner-up Eileen Gough. William Collett and Adam Jones scooped up the
under-9s and under-14s prizes, and the best new entry was Sandra
Simpson. The talents of the younger age-group were demonstrated by Ryan
Hicks, Alice Hathaway and Tyler Hardy in the 2-4years group and Olivia
Cook, Esme Davies and Josh Weston were the four-year-old winners. The
afternoon attracted record visitors, and culminated with an auction of
produce for the Village Hall Fund.
