Caterpillars' Ball

Hullavington's Happy Caterpillars Pre-school are now selling tickets for their annual May Ball. Last year's event was very successful, both in social and financial terms, as it raised £4,500 to get the pre-school off to a flying start in their new premises on the Hullavington School site. Their new building opened in November, where they are now thriving, and have been able to start an afternoon session.

This year's ball, at Grittleton House on Friday 18th May, promises to be a grand evening as well as a major fundraising occasion. The event includes a live band, disco and a three course meal. Tickets and further details are available from Jackie Collett (01666) 837896.

Sculpted bodies

Have you noticed how lithe the ladies of Hullavington are becoming? Many are now exercising to keep trim and supple at the body sculpt class run by Lyn Keohane. There are still a few vacancies in the classes in the Village Hall on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 or on Fridays at 10am. All you need is a mat or thick towel and a bottle of water. Ring Lyn (01249) 782349 if you would like to know more.

Red Nose Day

£50 were raised for red nose day at the regular Friday coffee morning at Serendipity, .

Death by Fatal Murder

Hullavington's thespian policeman, Richard Warren, is directing this play for the Sherston Drama Group on 11th to 14th April at Sherston Village Hall. The Box Office is (01666) 840915.

Hullavington Ramblers local walk

The next walk will be organised by Paul Hadley. It's a morning walk starting from the Star Inn at 10.30 on Sunday 25th March. The route will traverse the driest local paths and tracks around the village and will be a short walk of about 4 miles. All are welcome.

Village Voices

In Hullavington Village Hall on Friday 16th March, the Village Voices a cappella choir entertained more than sixty guests with songs from round the world. A hot and cold buffet was provided. One highlight of the evening was when eighty voices were raised in praise of the glorious food, and the animals, vegetables and minerals that made it possible. The choir, which rehearses on Friday afternoons, was led by Chris Samuel.
