‘one-liner’. Thanks.
Parish Church
Evening Praise is this Sunday, November 19 at 4.00pm in St Mary Magdalene
Church, Hullavington. Holy Communion is at 9.30am in St. Giles, Stanton St.
Quinton and again at 11.00am in All Saints, Norton. Mustard seeds is at 1030am
on Sunday. This seasons final meeting of the St Giles living churchyard project
is on Saturday, November 18 from 9.30am – 12 mid-day.
Women’s Institute
Mrs H Frances gave members a very informative and interesting talk about the
Dorothy House Hospice Care on October 18 in the Village Hall. There was no
competition this month, but everyone brought something for the Dorothy House
shops to sell on. The outing to visit Concorde at Bristol was a great success,
enjoyed by all – what a fantastic aircraft.
Parish Council
Would you like to serve your community? If so, now is your opportunity to take
an active part. Hullavington Parish Council has a vacancy for a new Councilor.
If YOU would like to make a difference, please telephone the Clerk on 01666
824620 (evenings) or email dennis.webb01@virgin.net for more information.
CLOSING DATE 17th Jan 07. This is your chance. If you are fed up with how you
think things are being done, then why not give it a go. The Parish Council meets
once per month, so is just one evening every four weeks too much to ask?
Hullavington Village Web Site
Visit the website for up to date information about Hullavington. It is regularly
updated and includes local history, fun and games, local weather, an extensive
diary section with what’s on in Hullavington and surrounding villages. There is
even a revamped homepage. If you want your event included in the diary just
contact us via the website: http://www.hullavington.info/
Also, as this column is often edited down due to space constraints, you will
find the full version of this article on the website.
Hullavington News
The Hullavington News still needs volunteers to help with delivering it within
the village. Unless more volunteers are found, you may find the News no longer
delivered in your road. So if you are able to help once every 2 months in
delivering to a road in the village please contact Linda Hadley on 837096
Mobile library
The mobile library is in Hullavington today, Thursday morning, November 16. You
can find it outside The Queens Head from 9.30am-10.10am, and at Parklands from
10.15am-10.25am.
Coffee morning
Coffee morning at Serendipity is every Friday from 10.00am until noon. Do come
along and support the community whilst enjoying tea and cakes.
As always, I will continue to add details of forthcoming events. Please let me
know if you would like your news item, or event listed here. I will try my best
to get it right! Heather Stokes (01666) 837039.
