Village Coach Trip
to
The Great Dorset Staem Fair

Some years ago a very popular coach trip was arranged to visit the Dorset Steam Fair – held each year near Blandford Forum.

As 2008 is the 40th anniversary of the Steam Fair we thought it would be a good idea to see whether is sufficient interest to justify organising another coach trip to this event in 2008. The date of the trip would be:  Saturday 30th August

In order to keep costs down, there needs to be a minimum of 40 people going on the trip. Based on this figure of 40 people the indicative costs at this stage are as follows:

Cost to include both coach and show entry ticket:
* For an adult: £24.00
* For a senior citizen: £23.00
* For a child: £18.00
* For a family (2 adults, 2 children) £78.00

The Great Dorset Steam Fair is widely recognised as the World's leading steam and vintage vehicle preservation event. But there is far more for everyone to enjoy – music, food and beer outlets, fairground attractions, craft stalls, as well as all sorts of demonstrations of traditional country crafts, such as hurdle making. You can also buy all sorts of things - from country clothing, walking sticks, eateries, wood carvings, and tools etc. Check it out at www.gdsf.co.uk

At this stage we are just seeking “expressions of interest” from people, and you should be reassured that this does not commit you to actually going on the trip. We are merely ascertaining whether the trip is viable or not. If you do wish to express an interest then please contact Bob Fenner at any time between now and 1st May 2008:
