Hullavington Women's Half Marathon

Alison Ayliffe (left) from Watts Lane, Hullavington has amazed locals by continuing her marathon running at the age of 71. Mrs Ayliffe joined the Williams Syndrome Foundation team for the Stroud Half Marathon last year and raised £200 to assist with research and family support for children and adults with this genetic condition. This year she cajoled Maggie Dyson to join her, and between them, the pair hope to raise over £400 in sponsorship. Both completed the course, and can be seen with their medals and aching legs.

Maggie Dyson said " Alison beat me. She was running, I was walking, she started an hour later and just jogged over the finishing post before me!."
