Dog Fouling on The Village
Hall Grounds
The grounds and paths leading to the village hall are being continually fouled by dogs. The Village Hall Committee ask the owner of the dog/s to stop it fouling on the hall site and its approaches. Since the Dogs (Fouling of Land) Act 1996 was introduced, it is now an offence not to clear up after your dog has defecated in a place to which the public have access. As well as the obvious social detraction, dog faeces also provide a potential health risk, particularly to children. The Village Hall Committee have unanimously decided to pursue a prosecution against anyone who fails to clear up after their dog fouls the hall site or its approaches. This may seem to be an extreme measure, but the Hall Committee believes it to be extremely antisocial not to clean up after your dog and extremely reckless of the children's health in our village.
