Looking for some entertainment on the Bank
Holiday weekend? Want to dazzle the world with your hand-eye co-ordination
skills? or just want a really fun day out?
Traditionally there used to be a match every
August Bank Holiday between The Star and the Queen's Head pubs, but since
the unfortunate demise of the Queen's this annual event fell away.
However, Pauline and Anthony, the new licencees
at The Star have boldly revived it. They have asked me to round up some more
players and I though the Ramblers must contain hidden Flintoff-like talents.
We need some more players to make the game
viable. It is all very light-hearted, everyone gets to bat and bowl and no
previous experience is really necessary! All kit will be provided and very
importantly, there will be a bar and BBQ.

simply a mere acquaintance, male or female, want to join in this fun village
