Hullavington Village Show

2006

30th Annual Hullavington Village Show

The Village Show held in our new Hall on Saturday 2nd September was a great success and attracted almost 400 entries, a record number, and the hall was packed out during the afternoon for the presentation of cups and trophies.

It was good to have so many entries and the judges commented on the high standard of the exhibits. Chairman of the Village Hall Management Committee, Dave Hunt, presented the cu
ps and in his remarks he paid tribute to everyone in the village who had worked so hard to get the new hall built and equipped to such an excellent standard.

There were two new trophies presented this year. The Hullavington Garage and Village Shop have sponsored a cup for the best exhibit from an under 14 year old and the increase in the number of art exhibits in recent years inspired the new Parry Williams Trophy which was awarded for the entrant gaining most points in the art section.  For photos of the event click (here)
