The earliest Post Office appears to have been at 41 The Street. If anyone knows  different please let me know.

What date do you think this is?  I can give some clues.   Using some enhancement techniques on the original photo,  the sign on the wall  to  the  of the  picture says:  "Join The Army" and the  Post Box bears a "GR"

   

The London House (59/61 The Street ) from where Mrs Jefferies and  Mrs  Corams ran  Post Office   Does anyone  know  when the PO moved from 41 the Street to The London House.  If so please let me know.l

 

 

 

October 7th 1999, The Post Office is now located at the Shop & Garage and  Howard Greenman is the Post Master.  This photo is day 1 at the new location and   receiving the first mail is Howard Greenman and Linda Hadley
