Reflexology is a very ancient therapy practised in China, and India over 5000
years ago. It is thought that it all started in Egypt and evidence was found in
an Egyptian tomb from a drawing dating back to 2330BC.
Reflexology is
a natural healing science, practised for centuries and has an
affinity with acupuncture which is based on applying needles to certain dynamic
meridian lines, thus creating a stimulating effect throughout the whole body.
Modern day Reflexology is applying pressure to minute points in the feet, also
creating a stimulating
effect.
The feet are by far the most sensitive areas of the body and
contain many thousands of nerve endings. Working on the feet is far more
beneficial than working on the hands. Stimulation from the bases to the brain
creates far more energy: all growth in nature is stimulated from the roots to
the flower or leaf and our body works in a similar way.
By working on the feet we are able to relieve many of the every-day medical
problems that one consults their doctors for.
You can now experience this ancient therapy from a
genuine Chinese Reflexologist, Qiu Yan (Yen) who studied under her 80 year old
teacher,
Zhang Shu Qin of China
