1.      AGM

1.1.  Apologies: Victoria Castle, Paul Hadley, John Metters, Maggie Bawden, Graham Stokes, Liz Parry-Williams.

1.2.  Minutes of the last Annual General Meeting held on 5th May 2004 had been agreed and signed last June and there were no extra comments.

1.3.  Chairperson’s report - Dave reported that many decisions had been made about the new hall over the last year. The main area of concern had been the lease but the prospects for this now looked good. The village fete netted £543 and the autumn show was a great success and netted £288. Thanks to Jebbie and Dudley Hewitt for organising the show. The chairman thanked Victor Rawlins for the use of his barn for the show and also for storage. He thanked Peter Morris and Doug Butler for their continued work with the 200 club. Thank you to all those who have made donations. The chairman also thanked the whole committee for their work over the past year, particularly to Bob Fenner. Very few people realise just how many hours Bob puts in for the New Hall Project. Thanks also to the buildings project group, Peter Parry-Williams, William Harmer, Julian Greenman and Paul Hadley. Thanks to Mike and Jenny Gossage; the work that they did was a very necessary step in the plans for a new hall. Thanks to John Metters for his work on the lease, to Neil Hamilton for his contribution and to Anne Durrant for writing up the minutes.

1.4.  Treasurer’s report – A copy of this year’s accounts is attached. Due to the simplicity of the accounts this year Bob feels that it is unnecessary to pay for an accountant to prepare the accounts. He will ask Richard Warren to audit them. Expenditure this year will be covered by the ‘loss of income’ element of the insurance money. The money paid out for insurance is the remainder of last year’s insurance premium.

1.5.  200 Club Report – Peter Morris reported that £2400 was collected over the year 2003-2004, and 50% was given out in prize money. The only expense was the £17.50 annual licence fee. As of 24th May 2005 there was £3219 available for the Village Hall. The May and June draws will be drawn together. Peter reported that, unless someone is found to replace himself and Doug Butler by September, the 200 club will have to close.
