Hullavington Ramblers walk on Sunday 29 April.

A circular walk for Spring from the outskirts of Malmesbury along the valley
of the Tetbury Avon towards Brokenborough and then back down the other wide
of the valley. A little over four miles in total, with lots of fresh spring
growth and happily singing skylarks to distract you as you go.

The ground was exceptionally dry underfoot when walked this week, with
cracks already visible in the pasture fields. Occasional cows, and more
frequent sheep. Horses present, but separated from us by electric fences.
Stiles occasional, though none thankfully require the climbing skills of
Chris Bonnington. Inclines gentle, nettles absent.

Meeting point - park in the extensive laybys outside Nurden Buildbase
builders' merchant which is located on Park Road, Malmesbury.

Alternatively - Park Road is the road which leads left off the
mini-roundabout near the pet food shop at the bottom of Gloucester Road (or
to the right if you come from the Somerfield direction). Head along Park
Road, past the David Hendry TVR garage on the right, past Park Mead, then
take next right, which is still Park Road. Nurden is 200 yards along.
