Meet outside the pub in Leighterton for a 10:30
start.
Apologies for being a bit late with the details, but here they
are at last
Leighterton is 4 miles NW ish from Sherston and is a delightful
wee village with pond , ducks, Cotswold stone buildings, Archers’
impersonators etc. If anyone needs directions to the start, let me know
The walk is from Leighterton and meanders into the gently inclining
Ozelworth Bottom. A small group of us did this before, but did not do
the Ozelworth Bottom bit, which is really the highlight of the walk.
It’s 6 miles and, as mentioned, there is the odd incline. But
Ozelworth Bottom is worth it. If you come along you’ll see what I
mean. If for any reason someone wants to shorten the walk, it is
possible to cut out the Ozelworth Bottom bit (still a very nice walk
with views down into it) and we can meet back at the Pub in
Leighterton.
The weather for Sunday is warm with sun and a few clouds (click on

I was in Leighterton today and we cannot park in the pub car park as
they are very busy on a Sunday with lunches; they tell me that the
lunchers can’t find room in the car park, so we would only make it
worse. But there is plenty of road parking in the village, so no
problems.
The pub only does a roast lunch on Sunday’s which, I’m told, is fully
digestible. We have had meals in the pub before and they have been OK
and value for money.
