Hullavington Ramblers

 Report & Photos of the
Pewsham tp Lacock   walk on 20 Jan 08

Alan "Swampy" Roberts organised this walk and advertised it as " mud free, dry underfoot and without any hills".
Following the biblical type weather we'd experienced in the days leading up to walk day that had cut off Hullavington twice from the outside world,  I'd expected   Alan to call off the walk. But when I rang him he said the walk was on!!!  I couldn't believe  It. It  was chucking it down with rain. Was the man mad or was he  being cunning in  expecting us all to cry off so that he  could claim the moral dry ground??.  Anyway we had a larger turnout than normal just to see the floods and to tease Alan.

Just to remind you all of Alan's walk description:

Mud Free.   Dry Underfoot.   No Hills.

Other Photos

In an attempt to find dry, mud free ground, Alan took to the road. But  no luck for him there.

Interesting photo this. If you look carefully, you'll see that after years of practice Keith Collins has perfected the art of sleeping whilst standing upright

Dry Land at last
