Below are the details for the walk this Sunday.  It's organised by Alan Roberts and is a repeat of a  delightful walk we did about 3 years ago. Alan guarantees it to be dry (under foot that is) and I must admit it was so when we did it before at a similar time of year and during similar weather .

Sunday Jan 20th  Walk from Chippenham to Lacock  and back along the  course of the now disused canal. 6 miles and guaranteed mud free. Meet at the Old Lane Pub Pewsham  for a 10:30am start.  Organised by Alan Roberts. Contact details 01249 446465 

Directions on how to get to the start:

Follow road signposted  to Calne/Devizes. When you get to the Magistrates Court turn right onto Pewsham Way. Then turn left at the second roundabout into Canal Rd and follow it to the Old Lane Tavern. Go past the pub and park in the road   between Tesco and the Primary School

Do not park  in the Old Lane pub car park as they clamp.
