Whilst not strictly a Hullavington group, morris dancing has absorbed quite a few of us. We meet at Corston Reading Room, at 7:30 on Thursdays, and lifts are always available from Hullavington. We are a relatively new side, at the stage of learning the dances, laughing a lot, and making plans for our  dancing season. To find out more see our website www.malmesburymorris.org.uk or click here for recent news and pictures including Maggie Dyson's radio interview.

Dancers and acoustic musicians, of any age and either sex, are always welcome.

Hi folks!  (Added on 13 May)

We have been invited to dance at Hullavington Village Fete, om Saturday 4th June @ 3:00pm. (The fete starts at 2:00)

Can you let me know asap whether you would like to do this and are free on that day, so that I can let the organisers know either way.

Also, on another tack, I'm just organising a gliding taster evening for our village group in late june july, on either a Tuesday or Thursday evening. Would any of you be interested in joining us? (Cost £20 per head...  to include glider fight with qualified instructor....possible barbecue extra).

Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Folks,  (added on 12 May)

The line -up for Malmesbury, St Adhelm's fair,  28th May is now Ange, Barbara, Linda, Maggie, Ruzi and Viv, with Hilary and Woody playing. I will phone tomorrow to confirm that we will be available for a half-hour slot at 10.30.

Please let me know if there are any difficulties with this. Also, is there anyone who will be available as an official reserve in case of unforeseen problems?

All the best

Maggie

This below is Woody's quick shot of us all dancing together with the Icknield Way Morris Men. It was great fun despite only having five dancers... we really must learn some dances for 4 people.

Our very own Morris  Dancing Queen, Maggie Dyson,  was interviewed last Sunday on BBC Wiltshire Sound by Shelley Keen.  Maggie was in full regalia as you can see from the photo below. Shelley is holding aloft Maggie's     tassel. At least I think it's  her tassel. The group has  not been going that long, so anyone joining now is getting in whilst the group is still having so much fun. Full marks to Maggie for her energy and sense of fun in all this. Why not join up

Saturday April 23rd was an auspicious day for our Morris Dancing Ladies: it was their maiden public performance at Corston. It was a pity about the rain which kept many indoors.  But had it rained any harder,  it may well have turned into a wet tea shirt competition. Well done
