thrilling workshop. The intoxicating rhythms of Traditional West
African Malinke Drumming will be demonstrated and taught by
Stefano Vandelli, who has stidied with some of the most
influential exponents of the musical tradition from Guinea
and Senegal, including Marmady Keita, Seckou Keita and Nansady
Keita
If you do not have an African drum, you can hire one at a
cost of £5 per drum, but your ticket and hire voucher MUST be
purchased by end of August
If you already have a drum, preferably a djembe, but also a
Bugarobou or a Kpanlogo, then all you have to do is obtain your
ticket. Keep in mind that you should be ablw to play whilst
sitting on a chair of normal height with the drum resting on the
floor between your feet
Many of the hire drums will also be offered for sale and if
anyone is interested in purchasing one of the hire fee will be
refunded |
