HULLAVINGTON PARISH COUNCIL

 

Minutes of the Extra Ordinary Parish Council Meeting held on the 2nd March 2005 at the Church, Hullavington that commenced at 7.30pm.

Present: Councillor E Gough – Chairman

Councillor: Mrs M Bawden, B Fenner, Mrs S Greenman, F Haffenden,

T. Redman, G Stokes,

Mrs S Webb (Clerk)

Apologies: Councillor P Hadley, W Harmer, I Henderson (NWDC), J Thompson (WCC).

In attendance: 26 member of the public

The Chairman opened the meeting by thanking all who attended for coming.

PUBLIC QUESTION TIME

There were questions asked. Regarding item 3b of the agenda – planning application No. 05/00300/OUT. All who spoke were not in favour of this proposal and the concerns were as follows:

The Chairman thanked those who spoke and noted all the above concerns and these would be considered when tabling the application.

  2. Councillor Mrs S Greenman declared a Personal Interest in item 3b of the agenda and left the room, taking no further part in the discussions.

  3. PLANNING APPLICATIONS RECEIVED TO DATE

To receive and consider the following planning applications:

  1. Application No. 05/00150/FUL
    PROPOSAL: Extension to Dwelling
    LOCATION: 3 Chapel Corner, Watts Lane, Hullavington
    APPLICANT; Mr A Haddow, 3 Chapel Corner, Watts Lane,
  2. Hullavington.

    This item was deferred until the 9th March 2005.

  3. Application No. 05/00300/OUT
    PROPOSAL: Outline – Residential Development involving the

demolition of one dwelling (Resubmission)

LOCATION: Land at & Off 11 Royal Field Close, Hullavington
APPLICANT: Colburn Homes Ltd, Querns Road, Cirencester, Glos

The Chairman circulated to members letters of objection that he had received concerning this application and these were noted and taken into consideration.

After careful consideration, the Parish Council OBJECTED to this application and the following comments were passed to North Wiltshire District Council.

The North Wiltshire Open Space Study April and September 2004 names Hullavington as being an area where there are no local parks. To loose such a valuable open space would be extremely damaging to the village and it’s environment.

We urge the District Council to take all the above into consideration when deliberating this application.
